the new face of zadig and voltaire.

"I wanted a girl with a strong universe. Moreover, I wanted to come back to the brand's DNA. Erin is more than a supermodel, she is resolutely rock'n'roll and she is the incarnation of the relaxed chic that is the Zadig & Voltaire trademark" Thierry Ghillier

And what a face it is. It was also recently confirmed that the gorgeous Miss Wasson will be designing a collection for the brand. I can't wait to see what will be born out of such a perfect encounter. Love her tattoos. serious girl-crush methinks.

"I'm never pleased with myself. I always think I'm lazy and that I could do better." Karl Lagerfeld

Somehow, i think not.

Dior sets the couture ball rolling this week.  I adore the luxe post-war forties inspired hair and make-up.

rag & bone.

Check out the mixture of influences in the Rag & Bone spring 2011 show. They seem to have moved into the realms of softer romance whilst still retaining their signature hard edge in the form of zips and thick buckles. That camel maxi dress. yum

tisci.

Some images from the Givenchy SS11 advertising campaign by Ricardo Tisci, the label's creative director. The casting of popular albino model Stephen Thompson combined with overexposure is a stroke of genius.

a wished for song.

“What makes a photo interesting to me is the expression of energy, the alchemy of a moment caught in the net of a certain shutter click. It’s sort of like fishing for treasure whose meaning only becomes evident later. That meaning changes with the passage of time.” Merri cyr

These early portraits of Jeff Buckley take my breath away.

"It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for. The man who thrilled us at Gucci and YSL has returned with his first own-label collection" Harper's Bazaar

Continuing on a Tom Ford tangent promoted by french Vogue: the list of names showcasing his outfits were nearly as major as the clothes themselves at his spring/summer 2011 womenswear presentation in NYC (Daphne Guinness, Betty Catroux, Lauren Hutton and Beyonce to name but a few).

I am particularly enamoured with the green military shirt, and check out BeyoncĂ© in that embroidered fishnet and python-pattern sequin dress. hawt

By far the best christmas present this year. Vintage featheriness. yum

forever love.

"I am tired of the culture of the youth. They reject the culture of old age, the stigmatisation of wrinkles, grey hair, of the body marked by the years. I am fascinated by Diana Vreeland, Georgia O'Keeffe and Louise Bourgeois, the women who have embraced time without cheating. The society of today condemns that, i celebrate it. For this feature of great jewels, i imagine a man and a woman together for a long time, devoted to each other and forever incandescent with desire." Tom Ford

During a recent trip to Paris, i stumbled upon this magnificent jewellery feature in french Vogue, incidentally my favourite magazine on the planet. Shockingly brilliant concept by Benjamin Bruno with Monsieur Tom Ford as the photographer.

The sparkles are a mixture of Jacob & Co, Van Cleef & Arpels and Cartier. want.
